Dilzar Shenge was born in 1983 in Hewler city, northern Kurdistan. He is a music writer, singer, musician and sound engineer. His work is based on love stories and about those who suffer from broken love. He is trying to find freedom and equality in his unique style of music. Since he was eight years of age, he had an interest in music when his brother bought him a small keyboard. He started to take some professional music lessons for the keyboard with Maulaui Music Group in Sulaimaniya. In 1999, he wrote his very first song about Motherhood (Pîrozî Daye) which was never released.
In 2000, he decided to move to the United Kingdom with some other members of his family. Since then, he has been involved in music more than anything else in his life, and he has sung and played all over the UK to bring more excitement into Kurdish events and introduce Kurdish culture to the rest of the world. In 2004, he started to work on his first album Tom Xoş Dewêy (I Love You) which was released later in 2007.
